How to set the default window size of Finder in macOS

I copied this from another tech support site (I don't recall which at the moment): Open a new Finder window. As you resize the window, hold the Command ⌘ (not Alt / Option) key. Close resized window. Then hold the Alt / Option key as you right click on Finder in the Dock and click Relaunch. Any Finder windows opened after this will open at that size. Note: This does not work for windows opened from folders on the desktop. #TechTuesday

macOS: Microsoft Outlook: Add a Gmail account

#TechTuesday One of my users asked me how to use Microsoft Outlook to access their Gmail account on our primary OS, macOS (Apple). I found the answer on Microsoft's web site quickly & easily, and here's the link if it will help you, too: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/add-a-gmail-account-to-outlook-70191667-9c52-4581-990e-e30318c2c081 I don't feel that the experience of the macOS version and the Windows version is close enough to make it worthwhile for my habits, so I use Apple Mail for myself, All-In-One Messenger for my application mailboxes, and the web browser everywhere else. On mobile, it's slightly different, and I might cover that another time if anybody asks.

How to Use the Disk Utility Tool on Your Mac The disk utility tool can help troubleshoot specific disk problems on your Mac. Examples include when multiple apps quit unexpectedly, when your computer crashes, when external devices don’t work as expected, and when the Mac won’t start up. To launch the Disk Utility tool, take the following steps: Restart your computer by navigating to Apple Menu > Restart. Hold the Command and R keys until you see the Apple logo. Click Disk Utility and continue. Choose View > Show all Devices. Select the disk that you want to troubleshoot. Click the First Aid button and click Run. After the repair process, the Disk Utility tool will issue reports on how the process went. If the reports state “overlapped extent allocation errors,” it means that two or more files occupy the same space on the disk that you have just tested. It may also indicate that one of them or both are corrupted. If...
